Sarah has worked with children in a variety of settings, starting in 1980, when she initiated an art program for developmentally disabled pre-schoolers. She then taught in classrooms with elementary school-aged children in New York City and in Cambridge, MA. Her MSW degree informs her understanding of the life cycle and of the developmental tasks involved with each stage of a child’s development.

Sarah was an actor in Playback Theater, Boston from 1994-1999, an improvisation troupe, using material from the audience to build story lines and sketches.

She finds that puppetry enables her to inhabit another character’s sense of life, therefore building compassion by exploring and expressing their point of view.

Working as a Dream Tale Puppets actor and collaborating with the other performers actualizes her long-held love of performing.
