Honey Goodenough is a puppeteer, educator, and children’s party entertainer. After years of experience working with diverse student populations in greater Boston, New York City, Vermont, and Texas she became the first resident teaching artist at the Puppet Showplace Theater of Brookline. She has taught a wide variety of professional development courses for educators and aspiring puppeteers at Brooklyn College, the University of Utah, City College CUNY, and at her Alma Mater, The University of Texas. Her company, Good Hearted Entertainment, created the literacy-based puppet show “Word Play” as part of the 2016 Puppet Showplace Theater Incubator program. Her new solo show, “Sock Monkey Circus”, toured in China in fall 2017. She has also produced and performed in Puppet Slams across the country, including the National Puppet Slam hosted by the Center for Puppetry Arts, Atlanta.
Honey is a trained marionette performer and has performed with PuppetWorks, and toured nationally with the National Marionette Theatre and Frisch Marionettes.
Honey joined Dream Tale Puppets in February 2019 to provide voices for “Jack and the Beanstalk.”
Honey holds an MA in Educational Theater from New York University, and a BA in Theater Crafts and Technology from the University of Texas, Austin.
